Terry Bottenfield (CEO, Founder)
Terry founded the company in 1982 and has been leading the company's vision for over 40 years. In that span he has successfully operated the company solely from return customers and direct referrals. He has a proven track record of navigating complex constructability issues, tight schedules, and budgets. He was introduced to the trades by his late Grandfather who operated a plumbing company in Minnesota that is now in its third generation of family ownership. Grandpa "D" instilled in him a strong worth ethic and commitment to uncompromised quality. Later in life he would become a talented carpenter and cabinet builder which led him on his path to pursue his general contracting license in the early 80's. In his free time he loves to spend time with his wife Vicki and three children Anna, Josh, and Jordan. Terry is also an avid surfer and waterman.

Jordan Bottenfield (VP, Business Development)
Jordan has been a partner in the company since 2010, but has been in the field from a very young age. Upon graduating from Westmont College with a degree in Business and Economics he set off on a path to modernize the company with technology. He heads up our office in Carpinteria where in 2013 we opened a custom fabrication studio that produces all of the millwork and fine finish details that can be seen on our projects. The creative studio has also provided the company the ability to become a collaborative design-build partner to our clients. A delivery model that sets us apart from other traditional general contractors in the space. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife Noelie, and their bernedoodle Hazel. His other outside interests are surfing, golfing, and softball.

Joshua Bottenfield (Project Manager, 3-D Design)
Joshua graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in construction management in 2016. His college thesis was written on Procore technologies (construction software mogul and bottenfield construction client) on how their online platform is developing the industry. Josh is also a very talented artist which has inspired his pursuits in design and 3-D modeling. He is responsible for paving the way for our design-build division and constructing all of our renderings. He works hand in hand with our fabrication studio to ensure all technical details and specifications are met. Joshua resides in Carpinteria with his wife Carissa and dog Charlie.

Kimberly Kiley (Financial Controller, Office Manager)
Kimberly has been a part of the Bottenfield family since 2013. A proven excel wizard, she is responsible for providing detailed monthly billings and spreadsheets to keep our clients informed and up to speed. Throughout the construction process, she maintains all subcontractor invoices, manages all mechanic lien releases, coordinates with various lending agencies or banks, and prepares all payment requests. In her spare time, she is a talented theatre performer and production stage manager at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.
-
Steve Hammer (Director of Construction)
Steve has been a part of the team since 2015 and brings with him over 20 years of hands-on construction experience. Prior to joining our team, he operated his own general contracting company specializing in structural concrete, framing, and finish work. That experience helps him lead our construction crews, coordinate schedules, and manage the quality control of our job sites.
Off the clock, Steve enjoys riding his dirt bikes, snowboarding, and getting out into the wilderness.

Pedro Magana (Project Coordinator)
Pedro joined our team in early 2022 and has made an immediate impact. He plays a key role in organizing requests for proposals, vetting subcontractors, managing our construction software, and assisting our site superintendents. He graduated from Cal State University Northridge in 2017 with a degree in business management. When he's not in the office Pedro can be found outdoors rock climbing, mountain climbing, or playing beach volleyball.
